Behind Closed Doors is a political drama centering on the deliberations of a group of 12 individuals sequestered for jury duty on a high profile murder case.
The Defendant is an affluent professor, political campaign advisor and rising pillar of the community. Ethical, political, social, topical and racial discourse infuse the deliberation as personal bias, personalities and genders issues complicate an already complex case.
Set against the backdrop of the crime scene investigation, courtroom testimony, the sequestered juror's hotel rooms, the crime itself and the media's take on unfolding events, Behind Closed Doors paints a muddied, complicated picture of justice in America where the truth takes a back seat to the verdict.
Behind Closed Doors is a partially improvised script in which the actors themselves, thought provided with detailed evidence, testimony, and background data, are not privy to the truth of the crimes events. Their verdict is truly their own.
